LDR Rooms
Fourteen large, comfortable maternity suites decorated to look like home without sacrificing the safety of a modern hospital, where family and friends may visit you during your birth experience.  The suites are called Labor/Delivery/Recovery (LDR) suites, where mothers labor, deliver and recover without having to move to a new location.

Feel free to discuss with your personal nurse alternative comfort measures.  Alternative measures of comfort include: ambulatory fetal monitoring, birthing ball, rocking chair, ambulation, relaxation/breathing techniques, massage/aromatherapy (no candles), favorite music.

C-section Rooms
Threee surgical suites are nearby for the delivery procedure, where spouse or significant other may also attend the delivery with the physicians approval.  Following delivery, the new mother is transferred to a recovery room and finally rooms in at the Postpartum Unit.

Mother/Baby Postpartum Unit
After the delivery of your new baby and following your recovery, you will transitioned to the Mother/Baby Postpartum Unit. The goal of the care providers on the Mother/Baby Postpartum Unit is to help the new mother feel comfortable and content through pain management, so you and your family can spend time getting to know the newest member of your family.   Pain medication is available every 3-6 hours.  Feel free to discuss with your personal nurse alternative comfort measures.

Nutrition is important for new mothers and is provided based on your current condition and type of delivery. New mothers will be encouraged to ambulate as soon as your condition allows.  Education related to the care of your baby will be provided as needed.  Visitation is not limited, but we do ask that you respect the comfort of others by keeping the noise level to a minimum or at least a "low roar."
