Medical Nutrition Therapy

Medical Nutrition Therapy is individualized assessment and education by a Registered Dietitian (RD).  An RD is a medical professional and food and nutrition expert with at least a four year college degree, national registration and annual continuing education.  An RD can help you:  separate fact from fiction regarding nutrition, help you decide what changes would improve your health for the long term and help you develop a plan to implement these changes.

How much can I expect to pay for these services?

 

Fees are based on time spent with the dietitian.  Initial visits are usually 1-1 ½ hours.  A minimum of one 30-45 minute follow up visit is usually recommended.

Most health insurance carriers will cover a part or all of medical nutrition therapy services with a doctor referral.  Check with your insurance company for specific benefits coverage.  Self-pay options are also available.  Please call (254) 202-3952 for our current rates.
