Center for Oncology
When it comes to healing in a professional setting, there is no place like home. Unfortunately, home care is not always a viable option for cancer patients. Fortunately, Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center offers cancer patients a way to heal with comforts of home.
Since homes have traditionally been healing places, Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center developed a facility combining professional experience and medical expertise with the personal needs of the patients. In the environment offered by Hillcrest's Center for Oncology, patients are able to maintain a part of family life with the comfortable surroundings.
Welcome to the Hillcrest Center for Oncology.
This state of the art cancer center is designed to make the patient feel like they are in their own bedroom. The 23-bed facility treats in- and outpatients, chemotherapy and other non-infectious patients.
Patients in the Oncology Unit (4 North) receive private rooms. The rooms feature a comfortable bed, personalized bath and shower, chairs for visitors, cable television and modern medical technology. Most of the medical equipment remains hidden so the patient and his/her family will have the feel and comfort of home while in the hospital.
Family and friends are also provided with pleasant surroundings to make their stay comfortable. The waiting room offers a relaxing area for friends and family to spend their time while nurses and doctors attend to their loved ones.
Our dedicated staff of experienced Registered Nurses have all aquired Oncology Nurse Society biotherapy/chemotherapy certification. Thanks to the efforts of Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center and their Oncology associates, when it comes to healing in a comfortable setting the next best thing to home...is Hillcrest.
