All college volunteers must take part in an assessment interview and participate in a general orientation to Hillcrest prior to beginning their work. No more than 30 college volunteers will be accepted per semester, and all volunteers must receive a TB test prior to their first shift. It is preferred that volunteers work in four-hour time shifts that will accomodate their schedule. All college volunteers must commit to work at least one four-hour shift for each week of the semester in order to receive credit for their hospital experience.
