Director, ICU

Oversees the operational, personnel and fiscal management of assigned areas of responsibility with an emphasis on high quality, cost effective patient care.

Prepares, monitors, analyzes and controls financial aspects of areas of responsibility. Oversees quality improvement initiatives. Maintains employee, patient, and physician satisfaction. Oversees personnel management functions and provisions of patient care. Creates an environment that promotes safety and efficiency. Encourages and obtains employee input on decision making and self governance. Complies with requirements of regulatory, licensing, and accrediting agencies.

BSN preferred, minimum of 3 years experience required, active TX RN license, Three to five years progressive nursing management experience required, basic computer skills, including payroll processing, e-mail, word processing and spreadsheets required. Takes personal responsibility to understand, complete and maintain the professional and technical licensures/certifications required of the position.

Rehab Nurse Manager

Hillcrest is home to the Scott & White Center for Rehabilitative Medicine, a 53-bed inpatient facility at our Hillcrest Herring campus treating patients with stroke and traumatic brain injuries, and other patients needing nursing care while rehabilitating with speech, occupational or physical therapies.  Our Scott & White Center for Rehabilitative Medicine opened less than a year ago and is the only CARF accredited facility in Central Texas.  As a teaching facility, the Rehab Center has a strong academic/educational environment focused on best practices and state-of-the-art care.  Plans for the facility include developing a true Center of Excellence in rehabilitative medicine.  

The Rehab Nurse Manager has 24-hour accountability for fiscal and personnel management, day to day operations, and long range planning. This position is an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team developing this cutting edge program. 

Job requirements: RN with strong management experience required. CRRN and/or rehab nursing experience preferred.
