CPE Units Available

Extended Clinical Pastoral Education includes 16-hours per week of seminars and ministry time for 26 weeks. Students participate in ministry to patients, families and Hillcrest staff during on-call duties. Extended CPE is ideal for seminary students, local clergy or laypersons who wish to complete a unit of training on a part-time basis. These units usually begin in the fall of each year. The Summer Internship begins in early June and ends in August. It includes 40 hours per week of seminars and ministry time and provides a stipend. This more compact and intense unit is especially helpful for seminary students and ministers whose church denomination requires a unit of Clinical Pastoral Education.
