PRN positions available, shifts for both, 4a-12pThe focus of the Phlebotomy position is to obtain blood specimens from patients of all ages in various locations by capillary, venipunctures and arterial (as necessary) techniques. The Phlebotomist will serve as a trainer for new associates in phlebotomy and as the phlebotomy coordinator for fellow phlebotomists and will assist with difficult sticks, perform nursery, NICU and pediatric collections independently, receive and deliver specimens to various laboratory sections for testing via the pneumatic tube and other means, keep area stocked and in order, and assist with the client services when appropriate. The phlebotomist will perform point of care testing for glucose and other chemistries as necessary. The phlebotomist will be expected to be able to perform arterial punctures upon completion of a structured training program and will maintain annual competency documentation. All phlebotomists are expected to follow policies and procedures regarding blood and body fluid precautions and safe work practices as set forth in the policies and procedures of the Department of Pathology and Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center. The phlebotomist may receive special assignments as required.
Full Time, Mon-Fri: 3p-11p
Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation. Supervises technologists, and acillary associates. Recommends the scheduling of personnel, repairs and work assignments within those areas of designated responsibility. This position requires initiative, independent judgement, and supervision of diagnostic associates. Patients betweenthe ages of neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics are served.
Two years college or equivalent in Radiologic Technology program.
Three to five years experience in radiology or as designated by the Tecnical Director.
PRN, Variable hours between 6a-3p or 3p-7p, Mon-Fri
Responsible for developing and maintaining patient exercise prescriptions and treatment plans. This position will care for or assist customers ranging from adolescent through geriatric age groups.
Experience: One year experience or specialty training in education and/or exercise physiology preferred.
Education: Exercise physiology background, Bachelor's Degree in exercise science, education or related field, Master's Degree preferred. BLS certification preferred
Registered Tech/Vascular Tech
Full Time/Sunday, Monday & Tuesday, 7p-7a· Performs a variety of studies on patients of all ages.· Exams include but not limited to organ imaging and Doppler flow analysis.· Maintaining any records the department is required to keep and to do so under the regulations provided by HIPAA.
· Requires following standards set forth by Joint Commission, OSHA, and Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.
A minimum of 2 years experience preferred (30 hours per week) performing ultrasound exams including vascular studies.
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited ultrasound school or training/education program acceptable as defined by the ARDMS.
Licensure· If not already registered then must obtain: ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography) Abdomen and Ob/Gyn registries within 6 months of hire. · RVT ( Registered Vascular Technologist ) within 1 year of hire.· CPR
Staff Tech - Imaging Center
Full Time, DaysPerforms radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constantsupervision of technical detail. Also performs a variety of technicalprocedures that will require independent judgement, with ingenuity andinitiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.Assumes responsibility for designated areas of procedures as required.
Patients served are neonates,pediatrics,adolescents,adults,and geriatrics.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:1. Must be familiar with and have a working knowledge of all diagnostic x-ray equipment. Education:Two years college or equivalent in a radiology technology program.
Registered Vascular Technologist
Performs a variety of non-invasive diagnostic Cardiac and Vascular procedures on patients of all ages. These will include but are not limited to the transthoracic echo (adult and pediatric), the stress echo, the contrast echo, assisting the physician with the transesophageal echo, non-invasive vascular studies (imaging and physiologic), and Holter Monitor hook-ups. The tech will take emergency call on a rotating basis.
Minimum of 2 years full time (30 hours/week) experience in cardiac and/or vascular procedures.
EducationGraduate of an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent as defined by ARDMS or CCI.
Patient Safety Tech
PRN-rotating shifts, as needed.
Patient Safety Techs provide one on one continuous, non-skilled nursing observation/supervision to a patient in order to maintain a safe environment and prevent injury. Interacts with patients/families in a warm and supportive way. Takes immediate action to meet customer needs or requests. Recognizes safety hazards and takes corrective action; seeking assistance when needed. Performs work safely, without causing harm or risk to self, others, or property.
Experience: Prior medical experience preferred, Bilingual preferred.
Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
